After watching the film Suffragette recently, I, like many, was filled with a mixture of emotions. Shock, surprise and anger at the gross injustice. But above all great pride. I was proud of those wonderful women who fought so valiantly for our right to vote and stand for office.
On Sunday night at the Conservative Party Conference, Women2Win celebrated the election of a record number of female MPs at our annual drinks reception, kindly supported by the Association of British Insurers.

All were selected, and then won their seats, on merit. Women2Win (W2W) was set up ten years ago, when we had just 17 female MPs, to help encourage, support and mentor Conservative women into the House of Commons.
