Are you a woman in the north interested in standing for public office?
The Conservative Women's Organisation (CWO) in Yorkshire invites you, and anyone you think might be interested in entering public life, to their first CWO development forum on 22nd Sept in Harrogate. That's this Thursday. This is both a networking event for all conservatives, as well as for women wanting to find out more about getting active politically, whether locally or with national aspirations.
There will be a group of panellists to take questions on both CWO Development, supporting candidates, as well as CWO Enterprise, supporting entrepreneurs. Afterwards there will a chance to network, and find out more. The start time is 5.00 for 5.30pm to get as many people after work, so take advantage and be there.
CWO can offer support from how to sign up to be a candidate (both local or national). After the success of Women2Win and CWO London, CWO training can take place in Yorkshire as well as London, but only if demand is high enough and you turn up!
Please attend this session if you are considering standing for any public role. CWO Yorkshire can offer support and mentoring to individuals looking to sign up to be a candidate (both local or national). Women2Win works alongside the CWO, who are vital to increasing the pipeline of women in politics.
The first CWO Yorkshire Development forum is taking place on Thursday 22nd September, at 5.00 for 5.30pm, in Harrogate.
The venue is walking distance from the station. There is no charge but please email Fleur to register your attendance and get directions.

Further Information:
As well as CWO’s traditional activities, they are refocusing a new energy on supporting women in public life, and reaching out to younger women, not necessarily tied to any association, or even yet members of the party. Following on from the success of CWO London and Women2Win, CWO Yorkshire’s mission is now to help support and identify more women as they think about being Councillors, MPs or try to get on public boards and charities, as well join in with discussion groups and new conservative policies. There is only one female MP in Yorkshire and few Conservative Northern voices in Parliament.
If you wish to launch a CWO group in your area please let CWO help you. You can merge across associations or areas. CWO Yorkshire is fully inclusive and Northern men are welcome to be part of our support and mentoring.
