Since WOB's Boardroom Conversation on Public Appointments 12 months ago, they have seen a growing interest in Public Sector board vacancies. These roles span a broad range of organisations from science and technology to defence, the environment and education. The skills they require are equally varied. WOB have been working with the Centre for Public Appointments in raising awareness of the opportunities available and are seeing an increasing number of Women on Boards members applying for these roles and finding their way through the sometimes challenging application process.
WOB are delighted to be able to invite you to join us again, as we continue to raise awareness of the opportunities available in the Public Sector. Our speakers will be Paul Cleal, Government and Public Sector Leader at PwC, the Rt Hon Francis Maude MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General, Amanda Sater, Vice Chairman and Non-Executive Director of the Queen's Club and Professor Shirley Pearce CBE, member of the Higher Education Funding Council for England and the Health Education England board.
Register here to attend to learn more about the range of opportunities on these boards and to be inspired and encouraged to apply. Please also note that men are welcome to attend our Boardroom Conversation events.
